About the Author

Joseph Donald (Donnie) De Saw II was born November 17 1955, in Long Beach California. Joseph and his wife married in 1983, live in New Jersey, and have one child who is now an adult. In 2022 Joseph retried from the field of child protection and social work.

A student of A Course in Miracles since 1997, Joseph published his first book titled, A Course in Miracles Cross; your key  to spiritual awakening in 2019. In 2025 Joseph published a revision of the first book titled, Taking A Course in Miracles; Accepting the Atonement and Climbing Jacob’s Ladder.

Joseph’s early life was difficult and unstable. He is oldest of four boys whose father was sent to prison, and whose stepfather was abusive.  Growing up he attended ten different schools in six different states. After dropping out of high school and getting into trouble with the law Joseph joined the military service, where he served for four years and was an arctic paratrooper stationed in Alaska. 

Using the GI Bill, Joseph graduated from the College of New Jersey where he majored in Philosophy and was an honors student. He later received a master’s of social work from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. 

Joseph is a Christian, but unencumbered by denominational or theological boundaries, recognizing the truth in all.
